Update to Spanish Accents Program
To download the latest version, please click here.
I’d originally wrote Spanish_Accents_CapsLock for people with standard, US, QWERTY keyboard layouts, but people with alternative keyboard layouts like the French AZERTY keyboard have been having problems because for them, the ` key is actually quite important to type in French.
Therefore, I rewrote the half of the program that dealt with typing capital accented letters like Á or É. It now uses “Tab” instead of the ` key so it should be universally compatible with all keyboard layouts (what keyboard doesn’t have “tab”?). I’ve also added an internal help file that you can access by pressing Shift+Tab. It will popup a quick reference guide of all the various key combinations.

The link is not working for the exe download. This seems to be a really cool program and am looking forward to playing with it. Hope it's up soon!
Thanks,

The link is working again thank you! This is an excellent program! I'm planning to use this for an online class! Thank you!
link is not working again? hoping to get this, as it sounds GREAT!!
Oops! You're right. I changed the name of the program slightly in the latest version. The link should work now. I hope you like it!
I'm wondering about something....i use the spanish caps accents program and it worked perfect the first time i downloaded it, but now i can't get the "tab n" or tab whatever to work for the capital letters. I have to re-download the program again for it to work??? Do you know what's going on?
Hi Katie,
Is it only the capital letters that don't work?
If nothing works, it's because you need to manually start the program every time you restart your computer.
I just uploaded a new version of the program today. Please give it a try and let me know how it goes!
Sincerely,

i like the simplicity of your program congrats... but there's just one problem....my caps don't work
please help.... also how do you uninstall it?
Hi Brian,
Actually, the newest version of the program includes an option to turn on CapsLock. You can read more about it here.
There is no need to uninstall it because the program does not install itself; it only runs when you manually launch it. To exit the program, right click the program's icon (an accent) in the system tray and click "Exit."
Sincerely,
